History Of Saddle Maker N. Porter Saddlery and Harness Company
William Newton Porter moved from Taylor, Texas to Phoenix, Arizona and established the N. Porter Saddle & Harness Company in 1895. The saddlery remained family owned and operated until the closing of the business in the 1960s. The company employed two dozen or more master craftsmen, who tooled and sewed the saddles. Their saddles were world famous for being among the finest made.
We have had a few N. Porter saddles over the years but none like this “Genuine Toots Mansfield” 1950 Roper Saddle
