History of Salesman Sample Saddle

History of the salesman sample saddle

Here is we have been told. Saddle Salesmen would go to the local saddle shop or feed store they would use these miniature genuine leather replicas of saddles to take orders from.
In addition the store would display them as well.
Some larger retailers like Sears & Roebuck and Montgomery Ward also have been rumored to use these samples.
The Sample saddles range in size. Most common sizes we have seen are from 6 to 8 inches long all have been good quality workmanship, featuring hand tooled leather, wood trees, all the correct straps and brass or nickle hardware.

limited word of mouth is the only sources that we have been able to confirm. If you have any additional info, feel to comment below
